Computism is a UK software company with deep expertise in the Internet Computer blockchain platform. We design and deliver robust, scalable decentralised applications for forward-thinking organisations.
Get in TouchFounded in the United Kingdom, Computism brings together senior software engineers with decades of combined experience across web technologies, distributed systems, and product engineering.
Since 2020 we have focused exclusively on the DFINITY Internet Computer — the world's first blockchain that runs at web speed and can host full-stack decentralised applications. We help clients harness this platform to build products that are secure, unstoppable, and future-proof.
We are a small, senior team. Every engagement is led by a director-level engineer, ensuring quality and expertise at every stage.
From architecture and smart-contract development to front-end product engineering, we cover the full stack on the Internet Computer.
We build and deploy Internet Computer canisters (smart contracts) in Rust and Motoko, engineered for reliability, security, and upgrade-safety.
End-to-end decentralised application development — from on-chain backend logic to polished, performant front-end interfaces hosted entirely on the IC.
Helping teams evaluate the Internet Computer for their use case, design system architecture, and migrate or integrate existing products.
Code review and security auditing of Internet Computer projects, drawing on years of hands-on experience with the platform's security model.
Building iOS and cross-platform applications that integrate with Internet Computer back-ends, delivering seamless on-chain experiences to mobile users.
Long-term engineering partnerships for teams that need sustained, senior-level delivery — roadmapping, development, and operational support.
The DFINITY Internet Computer is a decentralised cloud that enables software to run directly on a public blockchain at web speed and web scale. We have been building production systems on this platform since its genesis.
A small, senior team — every member brings decades of real-world engineering experience alongside deep knowledge of the Internet Computer ecosystem.
Matthew is a Software Engineer with 25 years of experience across a wide range of domains, generally involving web technologies. Recently he focused on building microservice backends supporting a multi-tenant platform for running online travel agencies. Matt values reliable and maintainable software. He holds a Masters degree in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Oxford.
After graduating with a degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University, Hamish transitioned into software engineering, focusing on high-throughput, low-latency cloud-based systems. Before building OpenChat, he worked at Emirates where he quickly rose through the ranks, eventually leading the design of their new B2B hotel search engine.
Julian has been dabbling in software engineering for the last 25 years or so. He has a varied industry background — from defence to risk management, e-commerce to education technology, and travel to chat. He has developed a penchant for functional front ends. He holds a Masters degree in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Oxford.
Whether you're exploring the Internet Computer for the first time or need senior engineers to help ship your next product, we'd love to hear from you.
